WBC heavyweight champion Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder (36-0, 35 KOs) will not be defending his WBC title in Russia against his #1 WBC mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin (30-1, 22 KOs). The event rest of the card will continue with Denis Lebedev taking on Victor Emilio Ramirez for the IBF & WBA Super World cruiserweight title. Povetkin tested positive for meldonium. The test results came Friday when the VADA sent letters to both camps and the WBC.
